About Us
My love of horses started very young in life-at age two I owned 5 ponies already. I had at least one horse all my life till 1989. At that point I got married, sold my last horse and moved to town with my "city boy" husband. He had absolutely no interest in horses or anything "country". It took me 14 years, but we finally bought our six acres of heaven and things have grown from there.
We started with a Quarter Horse that our son showed in Western Pleasure. We knew nothing about showing, but Clue was one of those once-in-a-lifetime horses that taught us about it. Unfortunately, we lost her last winter, but she had done her job. The bug and love of showing had been planted. See her on our Memorial page. We now have 2 other Quarter Horses that my son and I still show in Western Pleasure.
My husband wouldn't show the big horses, so in 2004 I bought our first two minis for him as an anniversary present. From two halter horses five years ago, we have now grown to 19 minis that we show in halter and performance classes. Driving is my husband's favorite thing to do now. I've turned my "city-boy" husband into a 100% "country boy". I have also passed my love of horses to my son. He purchased his first very own horse in the fall of 2008.
We have also convinced our son's girlfriend to start showing with us.
